Every gardener enjoys color in the garden and Abutilons offer than in profusion almost all summer/fall long. Here, recent hybridizing efforts have resulted in a more compact plant, wider floral shape and color range. You get all this on a flower producing factory (*don’t forget to water and fertilize often to maintain the display)
Many new varieties come in yellows, oranges, reds, pinks, whites.
Another easy care plant is Indigofera incarnata (I. decora) which looks like a miniature wisteria bush. Flowers in gracefully hanging clusters(like wisteria) come in pink, or the rare white form. Of easy care, regular watering and occasional feeding will keep those blooms coming until frost. Sun to shade, remembering more sun = more flowers. (same with abutilons)
